File Types
- .gwc
- A compiled Groundspeak Wherigo Cartridge file that can be opened with the Wherigo Player. This is what you get when you download a cartridge from Wherigo.com.
- .gwz
- A zip file containing the Lua source code and all media objects for a cartridge. Rename the extension to
.zipto open it with any extraction program. - .gwl
- A cartridge log file. If logging is enabled, this is generated whenever the cartridge is played and contains a record of every action — useful for debugging.
- .gws
- A Groundspeak Wherigo Save file. Stores a player's current progress and allows the cartridge to be resumed at a particular point. Can also be used to unlock a completed cartridge.
- .lua
- Raw source code in the Lua language.
